OFF FESTIVAL 2016. Day 3

Con la llegada del tercer día de festival, el sol apretando de nuevo y el cansancio acumulado, el día comenzó con Lotto en el escenario principal. Una protesta instrumental y completamente inusual que no consiguió conectar del todo con el poco publico presente en esos momentos.

With the arrival of the third day festival, the sun heating us again and a physically a little tired, the day began with Lotto on the main stage. An instrumental and completely unusual protest and as a resulte, it was harder to fully connect with the audience that was present at the time.

Musicalmente interesantes pero algo no me llegó del todo en la presentación en directo, tal vez el sol, tal vez un escenario muy grande. Puede que una sala pequeña sea mas su ambiente.

Musically interesting but something didn’t got me on their live performance, maybe the sun, maybe the stage was too big for them. Probably, a small club is their environment.

Seguimos con otra propuesta enloquecida. Kero Kero Bonito. Music de baile con una cantante siguiendo la inspiración de la cultura japonesa (e intuyo que probablemente de la música pop japonesa, aunque no sigo ese tipo de música)

We follow with another crazed proposal. Kero Kero Bonito. Dance music with a singer probably inspired by the Japanese culture (and maybe by the Japanese pop music, although I do not follow that kind of music )

Pero la gente se lo pasó bomba,al mismo tiempo que te preguntabas que estabas viendo te dabas cuenta que estabas bailando a su ritmo. Muy entretenidos.

But people to a great time ,meanwhile you feel asking yourself what are you watching but, are the same time you found out that you feet were dancing.Very entertaining.

Me acerque con curiosidad a ver a Beach Slang y salí convencido de haber visto una banda con un potencial enorme.

I was quite curious about what to expect from Beach Slang and, at the end of concert, I was convinced that I had seen a band with huge potential.

Una propuesta también muy punk (como lo fue el día anterior Fidlar) con un cantante y guitarrista que se definió a si mismo como una mezcla entre Harry Potter y Angus Young y con una música muy potente. 

A proposal also very punk (as it was the day before Fidlar) with a singer /guitarist who defined himself as a mix between Harry Potter and Angus Young and a very powerful music.

En muchas partes de sus canciones me recordó a The Hellacopters lo cual era darles muchos puntos a su favor. Disfrute mucho de su concierto, sin duda una banda a seguir.

In many parts of their songs they reminded me The Hellacopters which gave the a smile on my face. I enjoyed a lot their concert, certainly a band to follow in the future.

 

Y tras ellos llegaba el momento de desdoblarse para ver a 2 bandas que tocaban en el mismo horario. 

And after them, it was time to split myself to see two bands that were playing in same timeframe.

Por un lado estaba Lightning Bolt con su radicalidad sonora que sobrepasaba lo habitual.

One of them was Lightning Bolt with his radical sound and a great level of sound aggression.

La voz distorsionada del batería con el micrófono conectado a una mascar y con un desenfreno absoluto en la manera de percutir su instrumento y un bajista aportando la contundencia eléctrica que pudiese faltar.

The drummer was singing through a mask with some kind of distorted voice and he was beating tireless his drum kit and a bass player providing some electrical coverage to make even thicker the sound.

No fui capaz de ver muchos temas, pero como propuesta sonora radical, fue la ganadora de la edición de este año. 

I was not able to see many songs, but as radical proposal was the winner of this year.

Tras ellos me acerque a ver un rato a 67.5 Minut Projekt. Una mezcla de sonidos que no consiguió contactar del todo conmigo pero que tuvo sus adeptos en el concierto.

After them, I went to see for a while 67.5 Minut Projekt. A mixture of electronic sounds ixid with drums that didn’t catch me but had some audience at the festival.

A continuación de estas 2 bandas, momento para ver a los clásicos Mudhoney.

Following these two bands, time to see a classic: Mudhoney.

Sonaron como una roca, salieron a comerse el escenario y los consiguieron. Ante las diversas bajas de ultima hora dentro de los artistas que debían tocar en el festival, para mi fueron sin duda la estrella del día.

They sounded like a rock, they were decide to give us a good bite of Seattle and they did. oh yeah!. Given the abundance of last minute casualties and cancellations within the artists who were playing at this last day of the festival, for me they were definitely the star of the day.

Seguramente muchos otros opinaran que Kaliber 44 también eran estrellas de la jornada, pero con su rap en polaco no me lo pareció. Supongo que son buenos en lo que hacen(Al menos en función del la afluencia de gente a su concierto). 

Surely many others would argue that Kaliber 44 were the stars of the day, but with their rap in Polish it doesn’t seemed to me that way I guess they are really good at what they do (at least due to the attendance to their concert).

Para mi, unos temas suyos fueron la manera de cerrar para mi la edición de 2016 del OFF Festival.

For me, after hear some of their songs I decided to close my OFF Festival 2016 edition.

Con el deseo de poder contar la edición de 2017, empezamos a contar los días hasta la siguiente.

With the desire that I could talk about 2017 edition, I have started to count the days to the next one.
