Desde mi retorno a España, he decidido investigar un poco más acerca de las bandas españoles que tocan en la actualidad.
Una de las que más me ha llamado la atención ha sido Atavismo y a través de ellos he podido llegar a Híbrido. Dio la casualidad que el buen tiempo nos acompañaba en el comienzo de Marzo y me surgió la oportunidad de verles en la presentación en Madrid de su disco homónimo en la sala El Perro De La Parte De Atrás Del Coche (¡¡¡vaya nombre!!!).
Since my return to Spain, I have decided to investigate a little more about the Spanish bands that play today.
Atavismo has been the one that has most attracted my attention and through them I have been able to reach Híbrido. It happened that the good weather was with us at the beginning of March and I had the opportunity to see them at the presentation in Madrid of their self-titled album in the club El Perro De La Parte De Atrás Del Coche (what a name!!!).

Tras un ligero retraso con la apertura de puertas (algo a lo que dejé de acostumbrarme en mi tiempo fuera) pudimos entrar bajando unas escaleras a una sala dentro de una pequeña caverna en el subsuelo con una atmósfera muy acogedora.
Una media hora después, comenzaba el concierto de Híbrido. Durante una hora y algo nos dieron una soberbia velada de rock, psicodelia y progresivo que me dejó completamente extasiado. Con un estilo mas clásico y progresivo y tal vez menos innovador que la propuesta de Atavismo o la de Medicina (puesto que algunos de los miembros participan en estos 3 grupos).
After a slight delay with the opening (something that I stopped getting used to during my time out) we were able to go down stairs to a room inside a small cave in the basement with a very cozy atmosphere.
Half an hour later, the Híbrido concert began. For an hour and something we were given a superb evening of rock, psychedelia and progressive that left me completely ecstatic. With a more classic and progressive style and maybe less innovative than the Atavismo proposal or the Medicina one ( some of the members of Híbrido join in these 3 bands).

Un gran concierto que era para mí la primera etapa dentro de sus conciertos puesto que unos meses después tenia la oportunidad de ver en directo dentro del ciclo o jornadas musicales denominadas Sound Isidro a otros 2 grupos que compartían parte de sus miembros con Híbrido.
Se trataba del concierto reunión de Viaje a 800 celebrando el duodecimo aniversario de su disco Estampida de Trombones. Y para hacerlo todavía más apetecible, como teloneros eran Atavismo los encargados de caldear el ambiente. Todo ello en la sala Caracol de Madrid, que tiene unas condiciones sonoras bastante buenas para lo que suele ser habitual en Madrid.
A great concert that was for me the first stage in their concerts due to the fact that a few months later I had the opportunity to see them live within the festival Sound Isidro with 2 other bands that shared part of their members with Híbrido.
It was a special event because Viaje a 800 was celebrating the 12th anniversary of their album Estampida de Trombones with a comeback concert. And to make it even more appealing, the supporters were Atavismo. All of this take place in the Caracol club in Madrid, which has good sound conditions for what is usually common in Madrid.

En este caso, el horario era muy puntual porque luego había que despejar para que la sesión de discoteca techno o lo que sea continuase exprimiendo la vaca (5 euros por una cerveza de 33 cl es un clásico en los conciertos en Madrid, mejor venir sin sed a los conciertos….).
Para comenzar, Atavismo nos llevaron en su viaje musical con sus influencias andaluces que me resultan tan atractivas y que creo que les da un plus muy especial.
In this case, the schedule was very punctual because later on a session of techno nightclub or whatever other junk comes next and it was necessary to further squeeze people with popular prices (5 euros for a beer of 33 cl is a classic at concerts in Madrid, better not be thirsty at any concert in Madrid…).
To begin with, Atavismo took us on their musical journey with their Andalusian influences that are so attractive to me and that I think gives them a very special feeling that none other band delivers now.

Su ultimo disco Valdeinfierno ha sido reconocido por la edición española de Metal Hammer como el mejor disco español de 2018 y tenían un motivo adicional para celebrarlo y nosotros con ellos.
Tras ellos, ajustes rápidos del escenario y daban paso a Viaje a 800.
Their latest album Valdeinfierno has been recognized by the Spanish edition of Metal Hammer as the best Spanish album of 2018 and so they have an additional reason to celebrate the fact with us.
After them, quick adjustments of the stage and time for Viaje a 800.

Un publico entregado desde el principio ( incluso hubo momentos de pogo durante las canciones más rápidas) les llevo en volandas durante una hora y media que paso como un suspiro.
Esta reunión de Viaje a 800 parece ser que era puntual pero siempre cabe la esperanza de que se lo piensen mejor y le den un renacer al grupo.
The audience was in perfect communion with the band since the beginning (there were even moments of pogo during the fastest songs) took us for an hour and a half that comes and goes so quick.
This Viaje a 800 meeting seems to be punctual but there is always the hope that they will think better and give the babd a new opportunity .

Aunque supongo que a Jose “Poti” Moreno, cantante y bajista de Híbrido, bajista de Medicina, cantante y guitarrista de Híbrido y cantante y bajista de Viaje a 800 puede que le parezca que son demasiados grupos que mantener en circulación a la vez (o no).
En este caso el cuanto más mejor me resulta indudable sobre todo si tienen la calidad de fenómenos como los que he tenido la oportunidad de ver en estos 2 conciertos en Madrid.
Although I suppose that Jose «Poti» Moreno, singer and bassist of Híbrido, bassist of Medicina, singer and guitarist of Hybrid and singer and bassist of Viaje a 800 may seem that these are too many bands to keep running at the same time (or maybe not).
In this case, the more the better is undoubted, especially if they have the quality of phenomena such as those I have had the opportunity to see in these 2 concerts in Madrid.
